In the ongoing arguments about what percentage is too much for whatever entity to pay, what seems to get lost is what is *actually* paid, which in the case of wealthy and wealthy corporations, is far far less than the alleged percentage. In the case of the corporations, they routinely walk off with credits these days, let alone a tiny percentage. The dodges and such need to be eliminated, and the trick of booking profits offshore, and liabilities onshore needs to end. If they don't want to be Americans, and help the USA, rather than the Cayman Islands, any and all perks and benefits from the US government...like trade intercessions, as well as any lobbying should cease forthwith. These companies wouldn't be wealthy without us, and need to respect that.
